2 weeks ago Easton had his 6 week check up. Here were his stats:
Weight: 9lbs 7oz (25th percentile)
Height: 21 inches (10th percentile)
Head Circumference: (50th percentile)
Doctor said he looked perfect. She turned him over to see him do tummy time and seemed very impressed with how strong he was. Then it was time for his first round of shots. He first got an oral vaccination, which he really liked. The nurse said she was surprised because most babies hate it. Then he got three shots, 2 in the left leg and one in the right. After she stuck him you could immediately see the pain on his face although it took a couple seconds for any sound to come out. I started getting a little teary eyed, but stop before crying when Erik picked him up and he immediately stopped crying and feel asleep. We took him home and he slept for a couple hours and then woke up screaming at the top of his lungs, poor baby was in so much baby, so we finally gave in and gave him some pain meds. About 4 hours later he woke up screaming again and was extremely warm. We took his temperature for the first time and it was 100.4. We knew he would probably run and temperature, but it was still nerve racking. He was whiny the entire day and we just kept giving him pain meds every 4 hours until the next day when we woke up to our smiley baby boy who was back to normal!
